A 45-Year Commitment to Excellence
Since our founding in 1980, the North Suburban Atlanta Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Incorporated has remained steadfast in its mission to enrich the lives of African American children through leadership development, philanthropy, volunteerism, and civic engagement.
This year marks a historic milestone — 45 years of service to the Northern Atlanta suburbs — where we have proudly delivered programs that uplift and nurture our community. Our chapter provides cultural, social, civic, and recreational opportunities; creates meaningful spaces for children to build lasting friendships; develops leadership skills through impactful community service; and supports philanthropic initiatives that directly benefit children and families.

The nation's oldest African American-led nonprofit, focused on closing the socio-economic gaps that affect African American children and families. Through innovative programs like the College GAP Fund, the Foundation empowers the next generation to lead, advocate for social justice, and drive lasting change — ensuring HBCU students can focus on their education, not their debt.
The Andrew and Walter Young Family YMCA is a leader in life-saving swim and drowning prevention programs, particularly for low-income African American families. With African American children facing a drowning rate five times higher than their peers, JJ Swims — inspired by the memory of Princeton Ellis Meadors, who tragically drowned in 2017 — is committed to expanding access to swim education and saving lives in our community.
